Exxon Boosting Natural Gas Processing

Exxon Mobil Corporation announced yesterday that the company will be boosting processing of natural gas at its Piceance Basin location.  The company sees ’steady’ increase in supplies to US markets through the use of efficient technologies.  The company currently processes 100 million cubic feet per day.  Total estimate reserves in the Piceance Basin are believed to be 45 trillion cubic feet.  The Piceance Basin is located in northwestern Colorado.

Exxon Mobil is a vertically integrated energy conglomerate that explores for and produces crude oil and natural gas.  The company and its subsidiaries also manufacture petroleum and well as transport its energy products.  Exxon is also engaged in the manufacturing of olefins, polyethylene, aromatics, and polypropylene plastics.  The company has a limited interest in some power generation plants.  The company is divided into 3 segments: Upstream, Chemicals, and Downstream.
